My dreams lately have involved my friends, past and present. Most would bore you to tears, so I won't bother, but one was amusing...
Now, in reality, I had just spent the evening with my friend and her husband. My friend did my taxes for me as we sat around and watched tv. It was a nice night, so I have no idea why I dreamt this....
I arrived at the scene. There was police tape and barriers up to keep the crowds back, as the police tried to draw up a plan. Apparently there was a couple somewhere in this closed off mall, causing great trouble. They were armed and therefore considered dangerous. A moment later a cop stumbles out of an entrance, bloodied and declaring that she was shot and couldn't flush them out of their positions. She had failed to end the tense situation. As police don't generally take kindly to one of their own being shot, the plan to take down the couple inside was to take them out by any means necessary. In other words, shoot now, ask questions later.
Seeing that my friends were likely going to be killed I begged the police chief to let me go in and try and bring them out peacefully. After much begging he finally agreed, and I was suited up with a bullet proof vest and semi-automatic pistol. I headed in to the mall and started scouring the area, going from store to store. I located my friend's husband and tossed him up against the wall, and began frisking him, handcuffing him, and reading him his rights. All the while I kept trying to sound like a tough guy.... "Come on, Frank...just tell me where she is. Where is she hiding? Don't make this any harder than it has to be". He refused to answer and barke at me that he would never tell me where she was. Oh, it's going to be like THAT is it? Hmph!
I ended up leaving him cuffed to a chair in the store and I proceeded to search for my other friend. Finally I had her cornered down in the underground parking...... she was hiding somewhere in the shadows..I almost had her...
And then I woke up. DAMNIT! hahaha...
I called my friend up in the morning to thank her again for doing my taxes the night before and to tell her about my wacky dream. We all had a good laugh. :-)
