Ok, I have neglected this blog long enough. That must stop. I have updated with a new post (see below!) and I have updated my blogroll links. I am going to attempt to be more vigilant about remembering my dreams and logging them on here. I never really gave up trying, but my dreams have become harder to remember and some aren't even worth mentioning. I mean, I had one last night about a friend of mine telling me he had moved... do you really want to hear about that? *snore* I didn't think so. Not all dreams are exciting, afterall.
So if anyone out there is keeping a dream blog and is not on my blogroll, feel free to write to me and I will happily add you. There are too few of us out there keeping up the craft, so we must stick together and encourage each other.
Oh, and if you haven't read the book
The Celestine Prophecy, I would strongly encourage you to do that now. Trust me, it's
awesome and may even have you reflecting upon your dreams differently. For a cheap copy go to
Book Closeouts and buy them online; I got it there dirt cheap, including shipping. Go on!
Shoo!
I know I know.. it's been a while, but it's not like anyone reads this blog anyway. LOL. It's more or less for my own records.
Anyway, let me preface the recounting of the next three dreams by saying that I am a single white female. Seems like an odd thing to mention? Not after you hear these dreams, some of the most bizarre I have ever had, and all in succession (one night after another).
Dream 1. I dreamt I was
David Arquette and I was trying to stop
a Nazi train from arriving at this particular location/train station I was sneaking around. It was winter and cold, and I was wearing a long black jacket and a scarf. I could see my breath as I worked feverishly to rig the tracks so that they would blow up. As I stood down from the platform (on the tracks) I had some odd instrument in my hands... it seemed to be a solid metal square, with the centre holding a second piece, like a
ball and socket joint. So it was basically a heavy metal square "thing" with a rotating ball (with a metal rod-like piece sticking out...like a stick shift on a car) in the centre. In my dream this all made sense of course, and I understood that this was what was going to blow up the track and render it useless. I heard voices shouting and I realized I had been spotted, so I quickly laid down the device in the appropriate place and took off down the tracks away from the Germans soldiers.
Eventually as I walked along I met up with three other people (2 girls and a guy, we were 2 couples) that I had been working with. We were excited to be reunited and veered off the tracks and through a large field/meadow. Strangely, it was now summer. *shrug* As we walked for quite some time we heard the whistle of a train up ahead and thought...we should hop a train car so we wouldn't have to walk all this distance! Thinking this was a great plan we ran to catch up with the train and hopped on board. We felt very accomplished and pleased with ourselves. A short time after that I realized the error of our ways as I saw through all the train cars (you know how
you can look between cars an up through the next compartment?) and noticed that the front end of the train was crashing and the rest was catching up like falling Dominick. Suddenly it dawned on me... stupid us, we destroyed the tracks, of course!!! I began to kick at the train door to get it open (why it wouldn't open when I had just come in it, I have no idea) and eventually myself and my friends tumbled out of the train as it sped ahead and crashed. Whew!
Now... why was it that I was David Arquette for this dream? I have no clue. And by the way.. the "Nazi train" was actually
a super modern one... completely incongruous with the rest of the time frame in the dream. lol
Dream 2. In this dream I was at least female... but this time I was a
black girl. In the dream I had my hair in
corn rolls and after talking to a friend (that I know in real life) I had decided to take the corn rolls out and let my hair down. She convinced me this was a great idea, so I did.
After I took the rolls out, however, my hair was a huge out-of-control afro. Not only that, but it was short and nearly bald in some spots. I looked god-awful and I was freaking out! My friend began to laugh as I turned to her pleaded "Please, you
gotta help me fix this!!" to which she replied that it wasn't HER problem, and walked away.
I told my friend in real life about this dream and we had a good laugh. lol
Dream 3. This dream seems to combine the two ideas, because this time I was a
black man. Pretty much the extreme opposite of what I am in real life.
In this dream I was working aboard a cruise ship as something like a cook or maintenance guy (hey, I know that's a horrible racial stereotype, but I can't help what I dream!). At one point I am approached by a guest on the ship and told that she thinks there is a dead body in one of the broom closets, so together we walked over and opened the door. And sure enough I could see legs dangling over a few mops buckets and such, as the body had been tossed to the back of the closet. Shutting the door quickly I told the guest I would take care of it and inform the necessary people. When she walked away I took off into some unused kitchen area on board and climbed up on top of an old dusted stove and tried to crawl up into the overhead vent. I was trying to hide because..... *dun dun DUN!* ..... I was the one who had killed that person.
Eeeeek!!
So there ya have it. I was a man in one, I was black in one, and I was a black man in another.
